Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

I am new to this forum, so forgive me if this has been discussed before. I am looking for names of physicians/health care providers who specialize in CFS. My internist was very understanding, ran all the tests to tule out other things and said I have CFS. I already figured as much, but I guess it was good to hear it from someone else. Now I want to find a specialist who can help me more than the internist, even though she has tried.
I live in New Mexico, but I fortunately have the ability to travel to see someone good.

I havent heard or read of any there. A CFS specialist can also be specializing in any other field… my CFS specialist is actually also an internalist.

I suggest you do online search or look in your phone book and see if you can find a local CFS support group and then get in touch with them, ask who they recommend you see. Support groups often also have a list of CFS specialists listed on their sites.

I think its very important to have a CFS specialist or at the very least a doctor who is willing to do a ton of research to keep up with all the latest CFS stuff and not have his head in a lot of CFS myths that there are about the place.

Quite a few local doctors in my area dont like treating me at all here anymore…just cause CFS is such a complex illness once one starts looking right into it. Ive been ambulanced to hospital unnecessarily just cause it wasnt realized that the new symptoms coming in were just different CFS ones.
