MRI done for migraines... ACC over looked?

Hi everyone! My good friend’s 14 year-old son has had developmental problems for years. He has autism spectrum issues/tourette’s (depending on who you are talking to). However, he doesn’t fit neatly into any category. Specialists can’t seem to agree on what is going on with him. When I started reading about ACC I was shocked that the characteristics fit him to a Tee. I told my friend - and she agrees with me. She’s going to talk to a neurologist. A couple of years ago her son started getting migraines and had an MRI done. Is it possible someone could over look ACC if the purpose of the MRI was to look for the cause of the migraines? She and I are both curious…

From my understanding, ACC is pretty hard to miss on a MRI.
