Today is day 13 of waiting. Hopefully we’ll hear something before we leave for vacation on Friday. My son has been very difficult lately. Upset and whiny all the time. Is it common for children with Fragile X to communicate in a Whiney voice instead of talking normally? It seems like that’s all he does, whine and cry. He had a speech evaluation on Friday and the recommendation was speech therapy. He’s 5yrs 10months old and his comprehension/expression was that of a 4yr 7 month old. But his vocabulary was that of a 6yr 4month old. So that shows that he knows a lot of words, he just doesn’t know how to use them I guess.
