Would anyone care to elaborate on their ingestion of Trileptal or Xanax or both?
I would greatly appreciate any information any of you have to offer… take care!

I have never heard of Trileptal, But I have heard of xanax. Xanax I think is one of the pills that help you to beable to calm down when you are up tight. If it is the one I’m thinking that it is it does help. But It can be addictive If you use it for a long period of time and take it several times a day. But I can say that it does help you to calm down. At least all the ones I know that has taken it. Sorry I can’t help you with the other one but I haven’t heard of that one. Take good care of your self and I hope that I have helped you out a bit.

I take xanax now, I do not take it everyday, on an as needed basis only. I know the pills can be broken in 1/2 for a lower dose. I often take 1/2 a 10mg xanax with my imitrix, and an aleve to help migraines. When I am going outside the house I need it, as I still can’t go to stores or any crowds. I have heard it is difficult to get off of as is cymbalta, which I take morning and night.
Have you checked out crazymeds.com. type in your med and it will give you the lo-down.

I had never heard of Xanax being taken for care of migraines - I take Zomig… I actually have the beginnings of a very bad migraine now… maybe it will help.

Hey, Punky, I have taken Xanax off and on over the last 20 years. It has been about 5 years since I last took it. I found that it helped relieve anxiety much, much better for me. As we all know, each person’s brain chemistry is a little different. I never had any addiction problems with it. Hope that it works out well for you. Best of luck!
Does Xanax addiction vary on a case-by-case basis - depending on the person and other factors? I know many addictions have genetic components to at least some degree… thanks for any responses.
PUNKY, I THINK WHEN IT COMES TO MEDS WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT. I TAKE XANAX MY SISTERS TAKES VALIUM. WHAT WORKS FOR ONE MAY NOT WORK FOR OTHERS. I THINK CAREPLACE IS PROOF OF THAT.
If it helps, I took Xanax many years ago for anxiety, was taken off and my doctor replaced it with clonopin, never had any addiction problems with either. Xanax helped with anxiety.

Punky, All I can say is I feel bad about your frustration with meds. If only you could find one that works.The only time I suffered migraines was when I took birth control pills, and Lord knows I’m so past that! I,m sending many warm hugs as a token of loving support. Maybe our “Road Trip” will whip us all into better shape! I sure hope so. Love, gramms/marjorie

I TAKE A XANAX,CYMBALTA,OXYCODONE,PHENERGEN AND DEPLIN EVERY MORNING. I TAKE 3 XANAX AT BEDTIME. I WAS HAVING HEADACHES DURING THE DAY EVERYDAY, BUT SINCE TAKING THE XANAX, I DONT HAVE THEM DAILY LIKE I USE TO. I’M RAISING MY 12 YR OLD PUBERTY FULL-FORCE GRAND DAUGHTER SO WHEN I GET A HEAD-ACHE…I DON’T HAVE TO WONDER WHERE THAT ONE CAME FROM! HAHA
Don’t know anything about the meds – but i do want to mention something.
You’ve been on these meds less than a week, and have already decided they aren’t working?? Some of these meds can take a few weeks to make a noticeable difference. Also, often the side effects fade away after a couple of weeks or so.
Oh Punky, i want all of this to work out for you so much – but you need to give them a chance.
I was started on Seraquel last week and could do nothing but sleep for 5-6 days, but that has passed.

i can give you a few stories about Xanax and ,good or bad, none of them involved side effects. My Mom was very addicted to Xanax, she had migraines and she always complained about her “nerves”. But she was able to cut down her dosage to a very small amount all be herself.
My husband went off Xanax completely by himself after taking it for years and years.
My son also went off it by himself after taking it for 7-8 years for panic attacks. As I said, I don’t know of any side effects. Good luck; I’m hoping for the best for you, Punky.

felt like I was super anxious and like I was going
crazy. I still recommend going off it tho. Because
of it’s addictive properties.

I have been taking Trileptal for 3 yrs now and for me its a great mood stablizer. I take 900 mg. a day. 1 in the am and 2 before bed. it also helps me sleep! I use to take only a cymbalta but I had way too many ups and downs.
since I am bipolar most have to take both and not just one… Not sure what they gave it to you for but for me its been great… And all meds just take time to get use too…
