I have a pancreatic divisum, and have had chronic pancreatitis for the past 5 years. However, I was doing really well last spring until I was rear ended in my car at a stoplight. I had immediate and severe upper right quadrant pain, and it slowly progressed … over a period of a couple of months … into a full blown pancreatitis flare-up. I then had to be placed back on TPN and narcotics.
Hi,my name is Larry. I have a pancreatic divisum and the beast woke up 23yrs. ago, and chronic about 8yrs. When my local Dr. sent me to Duke University, Dr. Baillie told me to be carefull when I was in a accident or hit in that area, he told me it could set me off in a attack. Good luck on your recovery and have some pain free days.
