Anger

Can depression build up anger?

I certainly think so. Depression seems to do a lot of negative things to us - like the commercials “depression hurts all over.” A lot of times when I’m depressed, I tend to dwell on something over and over and end up becoming very frustrated about it, then angry. I’ve learned through psychotherapy to put those thoughts on hold for about 15 min and tell myself I’ll come back to that. Then I forget about it, until the next time…repeat. Prozac is helping tremendously with the chronic obsessive & negative thoughts. :wink:
