also you can contact the american diabetes association-if you 1800DIABETES(800-342-2383), they have a website with current diabetes news/recipes, healthy tips for diabetes, also a magazine Diabetes forecasts. along with a information about support groups in your area.
Check with your local hospitals - they usually will have a free monthly support group.
If you receive your diabetes care from an endocrinology group, they sometimes have a support group for their patients.
