I’m mom to Jackson, age 2. We live in Colorado and we would be interested in meeting anyone else with CCD in Co… Thanks, Wendy
Hi Wendy,
We don’t live in Colorado, but we own a cabin there and visit occasionally.
Plans are to be there next in the summer of '09. Our cabin is midway between
Gunnison and Salida near Hwy. 50, in a little ghost town called Whitepine,
just North of a “spot in the road” town called Sargents. The cabin is a
family vacation/meeting spot. We are hoping that next year our daughter in
TX and her family will be able to meet us there. We are a “generational” CCD
family. I (53) have CCD, as does my dad (82) and my brother (55) and 4 of my
8 kids (30,25,15,11), and we think our 18 month old grandson…one of the TX
ones. We aren’t positive yet regarding our grandson, as he appears to have
complete clavicles, but there is an “extra joint” as two of my sons have. I
have complete clavicles, so it took some sleuthing to determine CCD after
our first daughter was born missing her clavicles, but then all the other
pieces fit together regarding CCD as we all have the supernumerary teeth,
lax joints, knock knees, etc. Anyway, Jonathon and Jackson are close in age.
It would be a miracle if I remembered in a year that you wanted to meet, but
if you think of it, remind me in a year and we will try to meet you while we
are there! We drive in from CA so come via Grand Junction to Montrose and
over to Gunnison usually.
Blessings,
Sue Pellascio
