Does anyone have experience with family or friends with both MD and Autism?
I think from what I’ve seen autistic behaviors are very common in the DMD boys with varying degrees. We have done interventions for Autism that worked very well (floor time, social skills & ABA (behavior modification).
This consumes much more time for us than the physical portion of the disorder.
How is your family doing? Have you ever been to the PPMD conference? If so, they have a great behaviorist there this year.
