Bruised aliens

Hi all - sometimes my aliens hurt or itch so much i rub and rub and rub them and the next day there is a bruise there.

Anyone else had this happen ??

Calle//Carin

I often have bruises and then a lump shows up, but I never associated itching or rubbing beforehand with the process. I’ll have to start paying attetion.

I’ll have a bruise in some place it’d be impssible for me to have bumped without knowing (say, on my lower abdomen - that’d hurt to get the kinds of bruises I get there!) and then before the bruising disappears (and these bruises just fade, btw, they don’t go through the colorful changes of a “normal” bruise) there’s a lipoma. “Magic!”

I will pay attention to the itching and rubbing, though.

Dr H explained these bruises on another site. I can’t find it now and my mind is too foggy this morning to remember what she said, but pretty much all of us bruise very easily and external injury is not necessary to cause us to bruise.

Recently a slight bump resulted in the whole top of my hand turning purple. I always have bruises that I do not know where I got them. I hurt the back of my leg in June and it is still bruised. I thought it was my diabetes. Do you all have diabetes? The lumps sometimes “want” to be pressed on even though it hurts. This results in bruises. It seems that some lumps “flatten” out with pressure, and they come back later. A massage therapist told me that my lumps “rise up” to meet her hands.

Hi all - answer to your question about diabetes, no I don’t have it. I don’t know about everyone else.

Well my aliens have made me tired and at 6:35 on Sunday evening I am going for a nap.

Hi Sylvia, I have diabetes. I do have a very hard time controlling it even
with diet, Lantus and Humalog plus oral Metforman, Actos and Januvia. Many
swear by an insulin pump but I don’t think my insurance will cover it. My
doctor said that bowel problems are common in diabetics so I wonder if that is
my problem or if it is also caused by the DD.

I am sorry you are feeling so bad. I hope you get a break soon for awhile,
Joan

I have Dianeties also but have been controlling it pretty good…I had a nerve conduction test Friday and the Dr said I am doing a great job of controling it…HAHA… easy to when you feel like blah and cant afford to eat out…

Hi Calle, I did just last week - a HUGE bruise showed up on my upper
thigh which I had been itching a lot prior. I went to shave my legs and
there was this bruise about an inch wide by 2 inches long, dark
blackish/Purple. I was shocked when I saw it. I’ve never had this
happen before until now, although I’ve heard others say they bruise when
forming new tumors, etc.

New for me!

No, I am not diabetic, but I am insulin resistant. Diabetes is not the cause of our spontaneous bruising. If I can find what I read about it, I will post it here. I’d try to explain, but I’m sure I’d get it wrong right now.

I am not as of yet a diabetic and pray to avoid it. It runs in my family, Mom, Grandmother, her mother and aunts so on. I have hypoglycemia. My aliens itch so bad I scratch bruises on myself too. I am always bruised and have no idea where they came from.

I found this article again and am forwarding it to you. Good luck and hope you have a better day.

You know, i just wanted to comment on the title of this string. It’s amusing that the same thing a few other of my associates in the military had thought is essentially the same thing I’ve seen here.

The alien eggs comparrison. I have to laugh because I need the humor desperately.

My associates said that one day, I’d be walking along and they’d all hatch and I’d end up looking like something out of a horror movie or a bad anime flick. Thought that was relevant. Not surprising that I did have a nightmare about it. That was interesting.

Here’s another thought, and might be something you all might want to talk amungst yourselves with.

We’re all old enough that nightmares won’t usually wake us, when they are weird enough, but how many of you have nightmares associated with the … DD?

I’ve had them since the second year. Can’t seem to get rid of them, nor sleep well, though i’m always tired. Might be a side effect to check in on. Thought that might be relevant too.

Just some thoughts.

Thats so weird…I was told by my friends it was the meds …the weird dreams I was having…I dreamt once two of my friends were fighting and one was making tomato sauce…I have weird dreams all the time and I thought it was the meds…most I cant remember but that one I could…I always wake up at either 2 or 4 AM …At 2 when I havent taken my night pills and at 4 when I do…Lately the “aliens” have been hurting and stinging a lot more…yesterday I woke and couldnt move my are without severe pain…it subsided after a couple hours but there is some lingering pain still in that arm…

I too, have very strange dreams, some are nightmares others are just plain weird. Sometimes they are so close to what my day was really like I wonder if I am remembering the dream or the day itself. I thought it was all the meds I take.

I think a lot of the weird dream thing is the meds. I don’t take anything stronger than ibuprofen because my job won’t allow any drugs, and I don’t have the weird dreams except when I am very sick (feverish) or on RX cough syrup.

About the arm pain… I have had about 5 days in the past month where I could not move or lift my right arm at all. My left arm use to do this and now my right arm is under attack. This is a problem that could cost me my job. I’m a school bus driver.
