Correct Labels for NPD

this whole"energy transfer’thing seems to apply…its as if they project their negative stuff on us…and drain every bit of positivity.it does feel like a kind of’burnout"feeling .

I dont think we “should” get our own label. But we should have resources, books, articles that are for helping navigate “the way back”. It seems theyre almost all about how we got here.

If anyone has come across books or articles about what to do about it, by all means list them.

phoenix.x.dont you think the way forward would be better than the way back,so to speak,?..we must have grown as people.
I looked up Rapport s stuff…its excellent isnt it…thanks formentioning that.
to me…although its humorous… Bernsteins book isthe most helpful book i have read is’emotional vampires"by Bernstein…it just lightens up the whole thing for me(although it may not be for everyone)thats just my’way"of coping though.

spiral that kind of echos some of my thoughts. I never was comfortable with terms like, “new life” or “reclaim your life” or “born again”. These are all chapters in our lives. Good heavens, we all seem to be able to turn on computers and write our thoughts. We can’t be that “broken”. All though I remember days when that would have been a challenge.

I like labels like good friend, good brother, good son. Stuff like that.

Reflection perhaps…is a good way to make sense out of none-sense…in order to make sense of some insane stuff.

we’re all individuals who have had miserable experiences that have dropped us in different locations, by all means follow your nose to get where you want to go…me, I’m stickin with EMDR for now.

the book you recommended, does it outline a course of action?

I dont find posting to forums or reading books about bad people who do bad things to good people is healing,. I’m a Do’er.

I’m thinking a book of recipes, or directions, or a foldout map, a DIY guide…courses of action.

the book i mentioned just personally makes me see the ridiculousness of what i hve been through and it gets rid of"labels"as we all have traits of some’disorder"or another.

for a way forward that can be worked on…ive just started reading a book on NAIKAN a blend of the spiritual and psychological that seems to focus on(front cover)examining your life, renewing relationships and reshaping the future(worth a read?)im going to give it a go with an open mind.
