Fizzy my friend,
Do you often run out of your lithium? I’m worried about you. Is there any way to keep it flowing more smoothly? I am willing to help, if I can.

iam alrite robsmom just feeling orrid iam ok with my lithium, i think i may ask for some extra meds thanks for replying -fizzy

hello thanks for the messages, i feel that i should have a disscussion with my gp on what other meds may be available ive not had anti-depressants because of the rapid switching according to my shrink and to be honest ive been relucant to take them again because of the short sell by date that happens when i take them the thrill dont last long!!! but nothing short of shooting meself and i hate leaving a mess i dont know ??? thanks for the suggestion, - fizzy and seagulls oh and a boat ? and water…

Try to hang in there and take your lithum as best as you can, did you run out? or just forgot? If you ran out call the dr it is important to keep a steady level in you. I hope you are feeling better.

Fizzy,

I’m not sure if we’ve talked about this & I also have no idea what your docs may have discussed with you, but have they prescribed anything in conjunction with the lithium? Are you also on any antidepressants? The reason that I ask is that if I were on the lithium alone, I would be a wreck. When the docs didn’t know I was bi-polar and just thought I was severely depressed they put me on wellbutrin. By itself, it helped a little with the depression, but not with the horrendous swing of the bipolar pendulum. After my diagnosis, I ended up on lithium, along with the wellbutrin. Together they work pretty well, but I’ve noticed that if i forget to fill the wellbutrin prescription for for a few days, I get really, really cranky and upset.

It would be interesting to hear other people in this group’s take on different meds. It’s seems like such a different experience with each person. Anyway, fiz, maybe the lithium alone is not enough. Please keep us posted on how you’re feeling.
