HOW DO YOU ALL HANDLE EXTRA STRESS SITUATIONS?
TO ADD TO ALL MY MEDICAL PROBLEMS, I NOW HAVE
A FRACTURED RIGHT LEG—THE TIBIA. ALSO, I HAVE A
TYPE OF DISEASE THAT WAS CAUSED BY ME TAKING THE
STEROIDS. IT IS A TYPE OF OSTEOPORIS, WHICH I HAVE
ALREADY. I AM REALLY IN A LOT OF PAIN AND THE STRESS
IS UNREAL. I AM ON VICODIN NOW FOR THE PAIN, BUT IT
MAKES MY ULCER UNBEARABLE. TODAY HAS BEEN AWFUL.
I PRAY THAT TOMORROW WILL BE BETTER.
hi sorry yr having it so bad i know how u feel not as bad i dont think but i have now been diagnosed withfibroymaialga on top of everything i try and meditate but sometimes nothing works.can i ask do your lymph nodes swell up only mine do and are painfull waiting to have a biopsy on one.wish u well god bless Paula

Yes, my lymph nodes (in my neck) are constantly swollen. The severity fluctuates. Most of the time they’re barely enlarged. But sometimes they swell as if I have strep (and each time I go to the doctor, they swear it’s strep…but I always test negative).

unfortunately, i have been suffering with fibromyalgia, too.
for the past 5 years. it seems the pain never goes away.
i do not have swelling of the lymph glands, though. i can
be thankful for that. lyrica does seem to help with the fibro
for me. i got off it for awhile and realized that it was actually
helping. now , i take it regularly.
my leg is giving me a fit. i am in a lot of pain constantly. this
will not heal soon enough.

fluid buildup in it-----i have an orthopedic appt. tomorrow, so

So sorry you’re suffering so much. I was just diagnosed about a month ago
and am really struggling as well. The one thing I keep being thankful for is
that the disease was diagnosed. I’m continually being told how rare this is
and how rare it was to actually get a diagnosis. So we’re here and now, our
lives have changed. Had we not been diagnosed?? It’s scary to even think
about it. Anyway, just wanted to send you a big hug and much support.

The orthopedic doc did diagnose me with 2 fractures in my
right leg----they were larger than what we had originally
thought. I have a molded cast to wear for 8 wks. It really
does hurt, too, and i am one who has a high pain tolerance level. I guess that it will be more vicodin for me----he said
to take it —that it was not enough to get hooked on. He,
also, said that he had not known of anyone in 30 years
that had full blown Addison’s. Lucky me, heh? He, also, said
to take at least 2000mg. of vitamin c----for the break and for
Addison’s. You might want to try that, too. Hopefully it will
help.

By the way, Amanda, I do take 40 mg of HC and 0.5mg
florinef.
I assume you take it in 4 doses throughout the day? I mean the HC… I’ve wondered if breaking it up into smaller doses (versus fewer big doses) can be safer. In other words, maybe: 15, 5, 5, 5, 5, 2.5, 2.5
would be safer than: 20, 10, 5, 5

This is something I’ve wondered about…but haven’t really found anything online yet. I HAVE read about studies in pregnant mice that use one bolus dose (one large dose) and have been shown to cause cleft palate in newborn mice. Of course, this worries me ALOT since I am thinking hard about having another child…
