I need to find a doctor in the area to help me with achalasia.
I am a little closer to New York. My doctor in Hartford CT. David Curtis. I am going on three years since Heller. Surgery was well worth it.
In the Northeast, Boston seems to the best in the area. Check out Mass General, as I had very high quality treatment for achalasia at this regional center. Good luck !
Not sure in New York, but I can recommend Dr Gail Darling in Toronto. She is great, and helped me with a wonderful Heller myotomy with partial fundiplication surgery that has practically cured my achalasia. Good luck!
