Food

What could be the right food for MD?
What are the do’s & do’nts for living a healthy life for a MD?

Just like everyone else, the healthier one eats the healthier one is. Of course with DMD it becomes harder and harder to chew and to swallow, so we would want easy food to eat. I used to gobble down a hamburger with no problem, but ground beef is hard to eat these days. Now I just avoid it all together. Red meat is rarely in my diet, because mostly it is too tough. Fish, chicken, lunjchmeat are the easiest most of the time. I find soup, pasta, and tofu (with veggies) are easy for me. Raw vegetables are hard unless they include lettuce, tomato, zucchini, egg plant, onion, and my favorite avocado  Yellow and golden pepper without the skin. Stirfrying I found doesn’t cook the veggies enough to be firm. Steaming in the microwave works well with carrots, brocholli, peppers, onions, squash, and eggplant.
