My husband had a tumour removed 10 days ago. The graft, covering his bicep, did not take, possibly because it was difficult to avoid movement of the arm. His second graft was done today, and the surgeon put a heavy cast around most of the arm, to immobolize the arm somewhat. Has anyone else had difficulty with grafts? Any suggestions?
Amazing! My husband had a patch of skin removed that measure about 3 x 3 inches. They took the skin covering the lump. It would not have been possible to pull the remaining skin together over the bicep. I’m glad that you’ve escaped the need for a graft!
I have been living with MFH going on 12 years now----left forearm and also
above elbow on left arm. Been in my arm 7 times and never have had a graft.
My second surgery I was cut from my wrist to my elbow. They were afraid it
might not heal since I was also having internal radiation—so they did
Hyperbolic Oxygen Therapy 2 times a day for 5 days. I healed just fine.
