GRF - Growth Hormone Releasing Function

Hi

I read upside down on my notes that my GRF (I think it means Growth Hormone
Releasing Function) was low for my age. Has anyone heard of this in
relation to MEN1?

I guess I should have asked the doctor, but I felt guilty for looking!! LOL

I am from the UK by the way, not that that should make a difference!!

Thanks

Paula

Hi Paula,

do you have a pituitary adenoma? This could be a reason for suppressed levels for GRF.

Paula,

Have your dr. ck all of your hormone levels, the low levels is a cause for concern for a pituitary tumor. My son has a prolactinoma on his pituitary gland. This gland is the gland tha controls all of you hormones. So please have your Dr. do a MRI and ck all other hormone levels.
