My daughter had a successful pull through at two weeks. She was readmitted at 8 weeks weeks with entrocolitis. Now at 15 weeks she will be having a scope and her last level of dilation (a 12mm) in two days. We suspect she has a blockage in the top part of the colon because the red robin will not completely insert during washouts. Plus she has started vomiting about every four days. Not sure what is going on…
My son had a blockage a few months later due to scaring from the operation. Then a few months after that had a second operation because the bowl twisted on itself which was really scary as he almost went septic.
Thanks for the reply. Lily had her first of three surgeries to do a scope and dilate to an 11 etc. she is feeling so much better today and things seem to be working better. We were dilating at home with an 11 which was too big and making the scar tissue worse. So the latest prognosis is that we should have two more surgeries and then the occasional dilation.
Does your son have long term issues with this disease?
