My daughter had surgery to treat HD when she was 2 weeks old and everything has been great since. but now her belly is hard so dunno if it is gas or part of what comes with hd. she had a small bm last night but is still hard in the belly.
I am gonna give her some gas-x baby and see if it’ll pass. if anyone has anything they wanna share please feel free to message me on my profile.
Hiya, i’m 17 and have had HD since i was born.
I’ve had various operations and sometimes i feel my stomach and it is literally rock hard, but it’s never been a problem infact its normally the most comfortable time for me!
I know i’m older so this probably isn’t generalisable to a baby, so ask the doctor if you’re worried about it, but i just thought i’d drop a passing comment for hopefully a little bit of comfort/help!
My son was dx at 2 days, colostomy same day, pullthrough 11 months, chronic constipation, from 3 yrs. until 12 yrs., cecostomy at 12 yrs. When his stomach got hard it usually meant he was backed up. He has had a lot of OR disempations.
