Hi I just wanted to know if anyone has tried Methadone for the pain?
Yes. It works very very well on my husbands TN pain. It deadens the
pain… he says that it is moved to the background. He also tried
percoset and morphiene but while they initially worked, he had to
keep increasing the dose to get relief. With the methadone, he has
stayed at the same dose for over 2 years and is still able to
continue his life. He works at a major corporation in the IT
department and drives over an hour each way to work 5 days a week.
He wouldn’t be able to do that on any other pain reliever. It
doesn’t eliminate all the pain and he does still have bad days, but
they are way more manageable. If you do choose methadone for your
pain, be sure to ease your way on and/or off this medication slowly.
If you want more info let me know.

Thanks for your reply. I am really leaning toward Methadone. I am on heavy
painkillers, ( Percocet, oxycontin, Lyrica) The same thing that happened to
your husband is happening to me. I have to keep going up on the dosing. I am
also so moody on the painkillers. I am always up and down. I have 2 little
girls ages 2 & 5. I need to not be so tired & irritable. I hope that the
Methadone helps me, and that I am more stable. It is so nice to hear from
others, and know what I’m getting into. It makes it much less anxiety
producing. I’ll let you know if it helps. All my best to you & your husband.
