Hi, Just got back from my primary care doc, and it seems I have Hepatitis C, I have to make an appt, with a gastroligist, what can I expect? I am worried and scared. Please any insight into this virus would be helpful…

Hi schoolbusmom, My name is bernie and I have had hep C since about 1993 and
just in the last few years I have been feeling some of the symptoms. From
what I know there are different stains of the virus and it can effect people
in different ways. Also some people can have it there whole life and live to
be old and never even know that they even have it. All that I can suggest is
to stay on this web site and gather all the information you can get from the
people who know better then anybody and those are the amazing people you
will meet on this site.Over the last week or two I have been having a ruff
go of it and the love that was given to me from some of the people on this
site really got to my heart and that’s why I am writing to you right now
because I think you were sent to me for a reason. I think it’s my turn to
give back. I am still learning about it myself but if you want to learn
together I’m OK with that. I think for me one of my biggest problems was I
thought I was in this all alone but I’m not and neither are you. I may not
have many answers but I have a lot of compassion and any time you want to
talk or vent just send me an email.I still work so it might take a little
time to get back to you but I will. Right now I am trying to get all my
ducks in a row so I can start my interferon treatment. So if you also have
to do the treatment maybe we can wright each other and help each other get
through it. I always thought of myself as not a tuff guy but also not a wimp
but after meeting some of the people on this site I was so overwhelmed by
the care and friendship they have shown me I cried like a little girl. Hang
in there and you will see you will beat this and also meet some really great
people.I wish you all the luck in the world and I’m sure the one’s that have
been guiding me probably have already got to you if not they will. If you
