Holistic treatments, because insurance won't cover next course of chemo

We are waiting to hear if the insurance company will cover my dad’s next type of chemo for stage 4 pancreatic cancer. they are going with the FOLFOX (oxiplaitin and 5 FU combo) If they choose not to, we are ready to look into other ideas. One person mentioned Flora Essence. Anyone heard of that or have other ideas?

spelled: Oxaliplatin

This is a standard treatment for pancreatic cancer and should be covered
by any respectable insurance company. I assume Leucovorin will also be
used as it protects the body from some of the toxic aspects of 5-FU.
FOLFOX stands for FOL = folinic acid (Leucovorin) + F = 5-FU
(5-fluorouracil) + OX = Oxaliplatin (Eloxatin).

I would also recommend using genistein 250mg three times a day (available
from Vital Nutrients). Possibly also turmeric (curcumin) 500mg to 1000mg 2
or 3 times a day (available from Vital Nutrients or other companies).
These help
to reduce the develop of chemo-resistance and also have their own
anti-cancer
benefits by inhibiting the NF-kB (nuclear factor-kB pathway that promotes
cancer growth and chem-resistance).

There are many other nutraceuticals that would be of value.
