How soon do they usully have results from a biopsy? Were meeting w/ the surgeon hours after the biopsy, and I was wondering if that is when we would be told the results?
When my son was biopsied for initial results of his Hd, it took 2 days, but when he was in surgery to have his colon removed, they were “biopsying” as they went. They would cut out a small piece, send it down and would remove the parts that were affected. (ended up being his whole large intestine). But bc it could be done that fast, I think hearing the results just depends upone the hosp and drs. Hope that helps!

afternoon and had the results Tuesday lat morning. He had surgery Tuesday

Its two different ways of processing the biopsy. I can’t remember what the
difference is right off hand. Our surgeon explained it to us. Anyone else
know?
