How many of you who have suffered from migraines, had a head injury early in your childhood. I know I got knocked off of a bike and the back of my head hit the curb. Of course dr.'s say that has nothing to do with them, but I am curious if any of you have had injuries.
I had two injurys in early childhood.
Once I fell down from a tractor and it runned me over.
I also got an axe in my head…
My excuse? I grew up on a farm…
I´m like a cat, nine lifes. At least…-
Sorry my bad english.
I had no head trauma as a child. I’ve had migraines since childhood, however, and recall them from about the age of 9 or so. My father had frequent migraines and I believe there’s a genetic disposition for them.
Yes, I had head injuries early in my childhood. Too many to count.
Researchers say they don’t know what causes migraines. Not the same as
"has nothing to do with them."

I had traumatic fall and struck the side of my head on icy steps almost 30
years ago. That is how it all started. Doc agrees with me since I have no
family history of migraines. Doesn’t lessenthe pain, but wish I knew then
what I know now. LOL K

Subject: [migraines] I have a question
Date: Tue, 5 Jun 2007 14:46:59 -0400
I’ve asked my mother over and over if I was dropped on my head as a baby. They laugh and tell me no. I think I want to hear yes. Then I’d know there was a genesis to my migraines. I was diagnosed when I was 12, but remember having them much earlier in life.
I don’t think I had any major head trama. I think they are genetic. My Mom has them, my cousin,my grandma, and a fue others in my family. The good news is they seem to get better after menapause. The bad news is first you have to get thru menapause.
Hang in there,
Pamela
The one thing that always gets me with headaches or migraines is most GP
never or rely ever discusses with the patient in question the things that
may affect you such as food or beverages, FOOD in many aspects can affect
our health take for instants I have a friend who is diabetic he was having a
problem with his blood sugar going to Hi & every one at his surgery wonted
to put him on insulin but duo to himself testing what foods or beverages was
having an affect on him so by cutting out a parasitic food or beverage over
a paired of time he found witch foods or beverages where affecting him one
just happen to be a point of milk every day, milk may wall be good for some
people but for those who have type 1 or 2 diabetic its not as milk gives you
energy i.e. brings up your glucose levels in the blood & another thing with
some food & beverages that can affect sufferers with arthritis making the
affects much weirs by avoiding or cutting down on sertan foods can alleviate
some if not all affects of arthritis…
So I suppose the question is; (although eating well keeps you feeling good &
healthy) dose the food we eat affect the way we feel or our health in
general…?
