What amazes me is even with him being so very very sick, he still most
days manages to do far more than I can do. That sure does say something about
just how bad CFS is as an illness to have.
Yep. My disability lawyer had mono last year, and one beautiful spring day
she took it into her head to enjoy the sunshine, take a walk. She got as far
as the front door and had to wait there for her husband to come home from work
and help her back to bed. While she was on the foyer floor, it dawned on her
"Karen has felt this way every day for years" and she had plenty of time to
contemplate that possibility.
She has a number of CFS patients as clients, but that was the first she was
able to relate what it’s like to not be able to do something as simple as
take a walk, or even sit on the front porch for some fresh air. With the flu,
she had always been able to get as far as the chairs outdoors.
