I dont understand why you have to ask for permission to join a group. Does that mean your at the mercy of someone deciding if meet certain criteria?

Mainly all groups i belong to are invite only. Anyone can join we just like to keep it safe from companies that use groups to promote their business and mainly clog up the forums with advertising, it isnt to keep out the general people who need advice ans want to find frienship

Oh NO, hon once your on Careplace there are alot of different groups that you can be in, it’s not an invite only thing, you add groups that you want to be apart of and on the left side of the screen it will show you what groups you have joined 
then all you need to do is click on the one you want to visit and wha-la, I always go back to the home button when I want to change to a different group…Good Luck to you, and again Welcome to the wonderful site of Friendships!!! With all my love, Barb
