I was told that I must have both tubes removed and go through IVF if I desire children…
What is the procedure, health risks, and the costs associated with IVF?

I actually looked this info. up yesterday, and this is what I found. A woman must take fertility drugs to stimualte the maturation of multiple eggs at once. The eggs are then harvested or extracted from the body and placed in a petri dish with thousands of sperm each. The next day, the doctors see which eggs have been fertilized. The ones that are doing well are implnted into the uterus. The fertility clinic I looked at listed prices as: $3,300 for woek-up before procedure (if your insurance covers diagnostics, it may pay for this part), $3,000 - $5,000 for medications, $11,480 for IVF cycle including bloodwork and ultrasounds, surgical rooms, etc. You can check a clinic in your area for costs where you are.
