Fibromuscular Dysplasia

I live in Minneapolis and have Carotid FMD bilaterally. I just found out last year after having bilateral carotid dissections and a stroke. I moved from Michigan last year and haven’t found a good physician yet here in the Twin cities. I would like to go to Mayo and was wondering if anyone knew who I should go to. I really need to find someone who has a passion for this disease. I also had stents placed least year and need to have those checked yearly.

I am pretty certain Michael Ulrich is there - he is a speaker at this years FMDSA conference June 21st in Cleveland.
Kari may be able to confirm/tell you other specialist’s names at Mayo. That seems like a very good place to get your care

Dr. David Piepgras did my upper inner vein grafts back
in 1999.head of neuro surgery dept…hope this helps
he’s excellent!
