My antispasmodic seems to be working well for me - especially if I take it before I experience any symptoms. Like if I know I’m about to eat something that will trigger or if I’m going into a stressful/anxious-causing situation. I have also found that peppermint helps me… I haven’t tried peppermint tea yet, but the hard peppermint candy does help.

I have IBS-D myself (diarrhea). I, too, have most of my attacks in the late afternoon. And even when I start feeling better, I am drained and so weak that I can do nothing but lie around until bedtime. Then I sleep it off.

I don’t know anything about the regiment.

I think my best bet for me is to control stress/anxiety and change my diet. Neither thing will be easy for me. I’ve been trying diligently to cut back on fast food and cooking more at home.

Take care!

Thanks so much… I know peppermint tea has given me some relief in the
past. I wish I knew what triggers mine. My doctor and I decided it could
be almost anything at a given time… I take dicyclomine at least once a day
whether I need it or not… Toward late afternoon seems to be when most
attacks hit…
I wonder about the “regimint” I am hearing so much about… I saw the other
day though that it was helpful for diarrhea prone IBS. My doctor said
"constipation" is my middle name. But I do have bouts of diarrhea out of
the clear blue sometimes…

If you go to www.regimint.com (http://www.regimint.com) and look for the
ibs challenge you can register and try a free bottle of regimint plus they give
you a self-evaluation questionnaire for before and after taking the product.
You can see if the product gives you some relief. I took the ibs challenge
and I’m glad I did. It really helped me.

If the peppermint candy helps your ibs, I would definitely try regimint like
I did. Regimint is an enteric-coated capsule that contains peppermint oil and
caraway oil. Before I tried Regimint I was using antispasmodic prescription
drugs, Levinson, Bentyle, like yourself. I was not getting much relief. When I
started taking the Regimint I saw a big difference in my IBS in just three or
four weeks. I was taking the product 3 times a day before each meal. Now, I
take it just once or twice a day just to maintain my ibs. The regimint is cheaper
than the drugs and more safe if you think about taking something for the rest
of your life. Also, you don’t have to visit a doctor every month or two to
renew your prescription. Sign up for the ibs challenge at www.regimint
(http://www.regimint) .com and you can try it for free like I did.

You should try Regimint, enteric-coated peppermint oil and carway oil. I read
on line that the fixed combination in Regimint works the same way as the drug
cisapride. Cisapride was used to relieve digestions symptoms like bloating
and motility issues for what I understand but the drug had to many side effects
so it was taken off the market. With regimint their are no side effects. I
have been taken regimint for over five years. I used to have bad spasms along
with diarrhea. The regimint took care of the spasms and I no longer have
diarrhea. I’m currently taking one or two capsules per day to maintain my ibs. If you
go www.regimint (http://www.regimint) and sign up for the ibs challenge you
can try the product for free.

What help my ibs alot is a product called Regimint. Regimint is an
enteric-coated capsule that contains peppermint oil and caraway oil. If you look on line
their are several clinical studies using this fix combination that show a
high effective rate in relieving symptoms of ibs. I believe it was 95%. I had
severe cramping and diarrhea with my ibs. The first thing I notice when I started
taking regimint was the reduction in spasms and pain. I knew at this point
this product was going to work. Now, my ibs is not a main factor in my
lifestyle. I take it once or twice a day to main it and I watch my diet. If you go to
www.regimint.com (http://www.regimint.com) and sign up for the ibs challenge
you can try the product for free. If I were you I would give it a try.
