had a very small black mole removed from my leg on tuesday, received a call yesterday that it was melanoma in situ.
meeting today with my dermatologist (dr. arthur sober) and a surgeon for consult.
do any of you have any suggestions as to questions that i may ask?
i am alittle nervouse but also relieved to have found this at such an early stage.
also had severly dysplastic mole removed.
thanks for any suggestions
Hi Hotflasher,
I had a mole that was melonma, on my leg. You could ask if a large excision is applicable, ask about lymph nodes that are close. I get PET/CT scan several times a year, this may give you peace of mind. Hope this helps.

thanks for the reply.
i will ask about pet/ct scans when i see my dr.
scheduled for larger removal on thursday.
but, both the dr. and surgeon believe that the melanoma was in site only…so i am optimistic that all will be well…
back to 3 mo. visits to derm. for awhile…
thanks again…
