My son’s surgeon told me that sometimes it really doesn’t matter if he is missing his ICV or not. I was just wondering if anyone out there does not have bacterial overgrowth because of the missing ICV.

Yes I do. On a personal experience you have more diarrhea missing the icv. It does make a difference, why then would we need it if it did not matter?
