Mouth ulcers

Does anyone else feel that their mouth ulcers are related to what they eat as well as stress, etc? My husband is on a gluten free diet because it helps control the ulcers. At first we thought he had celiac disease because of that but all tests always came back negative. And then a rheumatolgist put all the pieces together and said it was Behcet’s, not celiac.

well, I do know that the ulcers can come secondary to trauma…
One of the Doctors at the conference stressed how important oral health care
was…
and said that oral trauma was the leading cause of ulcers in BD patients.
And all the other ulcers just pop up!
The best remedy to help prevent oral trauma he said was "don’t talk while
you chew"
there you go
things I learned from the BD conference this year!

Heidi, in my case, I would definitely agree that the majority of my ulcers come from trauma - both oral AND vaginal.

This does not seem to hold true with the nasal ulcers I experience.

I will often develop ulcers if I see a dentist and they are not well apprised of my medical history. Regarding my genital ulcers, sometimes even my, ahem, undies having a weird seam can cause them…

this seems to be my type of ulcerations for the last couple of months, the
oral and vaginal stopped and were replaced by nasal, inner ear and throat
ulcerations.
