March of 2010 was my
first trip to the hospital for APbut the symptoms were present during the
previous two weeks. My hospital experience was a four day one. I have
seen my doc for this only two times since the episode. she had asked me
to have my blood work done but…but since I had no pain and any symptoms
all but gone…I continued as I had previously but with one major change.
I stopped drinking completely! In the past I was a serious weekend
party guy! Just two days ago the familiar pain in chest and constant
need to burp…has returned. I am now going to the that blood test done…as
I read more and more experiences of others…I am more than a little
concerned what the future has in store….any advice would be welcome…
Stopping drinking is a really big step. I have never drank. I asked this question on here a while back. The gentlemen told me to give up all soft drinks. The carbonation makes you burp and have pains. He also told me to drink all liquids at room temp. not to sip through a straw. You sip things and you suck in air with it. I am on Stadol for the pain. I developed my acute pancreatitis from taking hydrocodone for arthritis pain. Now I have been diagonised with high sugar so now I am a diabetic on top of the it. All caused by the hydrocodone. If you start having pain. Stop all food and go on liquids. Gatorade and boost and clear broth.( Room Temp) Hope this helps. It helped me. Also watch fried foods and fatty meats and egg yolks, and no red meat…
