Has anyone taken Provigil for fatigue? My dr just prescribed this to me…
My doctor prescribed it for me, but my insurance company wouldn’t pay for it

Provigil works pretty well. I started out on 200 mg, but have been bumped up to 300 mg. Have been taking it for about 2 months now, but can feel the fatigue setting in again.
Provigil is a miracle drug for some of us. I did well for a couple weeks and then it petered out. My new doctor has identified adrenal fatigue and explained that after being on the Provigil a while, the adrenals get the message that the Provigil is taking care of things, and stop producing some important (place a medical term here, like cellular rejuvenator, or something like that). I’m not good with details, but when she explained it, it made sense. I had the same experience with Prednisone.
It’s amazing how many different conditions intermix with EBV.
