Ra

Is anybody on Orencia infusions for treatment of RA?

No but it looks like I will be starting shortly. Humira stopped working so my rheumy decided to try Enbrel which isn’t working that well.
Are they putting you on it?

Jane

I’ve alreadly been on Humiera and Enbrel. They both worked for the pain, but I developed sores on my hands from it. They finally did a biopsy and said it was causing vasculitis…whatever that is. So now I am on Orenica which seems to be working, but I just worried about the side effects.

I really don’t like the idea of Orencia (iv thing) but I will do anything to keep the pain at bay so I can keep working. I was on arthritis.org checking on Orencia and there were several who were on it and had a few side affects, nausea, fatigue and such but most said those went away. I don’t know much about any other side affects

Thanks! I’ll have to check out that website. You know, you really do get use to the IV thing. I use to be on remicade too which is an iv also. So if you don’t respond well to your enbrel, you should ask about it…
