I have a partial tear rotator cuff. It happened 2 1/2 months ago. I fell 10 feet. So far I had 4 weeks of physical therapy. That has not helped. My Dr. has sent me to shoulder specialist. I will see him in a week.
Hi my name is Pat…Thank you David for inviting me to join this new group. I have belonged to a couple of other rotator cuff groups over the last few years. I have been dealing with the pain,etc. that go along with shoulder injuries since '96. One surgery on the right sh. and two on left. Having like most cuffies ups and downs…good days and bad. I am always on the look for input, insight or advice from anyone with more knowledge than this cuffie.
I gone though the gambit of help props and meds…pillows (many), every anti-inflammatory med I think has ever been invented (right now it’s Mobic). I’m all ears for any new advice.
My shoulder hurts all the time, especially when I try to do anything tha resembles a cure. I have been doing ice, heat, and rst and there is no improvement. 3 months now. Ideas?
Hi, I was injured 2 weeks ago by being thrown from a riding lawn mower going downhill. I landed on my shoulder and have been in pain since then. The MRI shows a minor tear. My surgeon does not want to do surgery, gave me a cortsone shot and in a week will prescribe PT. My shoulder is in such pain and pain narcotics do nothing for relief. Is surgery option even a good one to consider? Thank you,

Hello everyone! My name is Linda. I injured my shoulder about 3 years ago. I had the surgery to repair it and now it hurts more then it did before I had the surgery. Has anyone else have this problem?
I recently injured my arm, can’t move my right arm up-ward and side ways as I used to be able too. still have pain not as severe as it 1st happened two week ago, wondering what is the nature of the problem in my upper arm.
i will have rotator cuff surgery on july 17. i have been dealing with shoulder problems (bursitis, tendonitis, posterior shoulder instability) for over a year. my right cuff finally tore and it is so painful! i would like to meet other people who have had the surgery and would appreciate any suggestions on how to make the whole ordeal as manageable as possible.
Both shoulders have this condition.
My right shoulder has a muscel pulled loose and there isn’t a Doctor in West Virginia that can do the surgery of repair for this condition, they do shouder replacement.
The nearest clinic\hospital to WV that can offer this surgery.
Have had two opinions that there is nothing that can be done to repair my rotator cuff. I would like to find out if there is any procedure whereby this can be repaired perhaps by using ligments or muscles as replacements.

I am 5 months post-op from mini open rotator cuff repair. Does anyone have any advice?? I am still in PT having trouble with overhead strength. Any experiences are welcome.
