Diet Rite offers Splenda sweetened soft drinks in several flavors. This past year I accidently discovered that these drinks raised my blood sugars more than I had thought. As Splenda is supposed to be a sugar molecule with its hydrogen groups replaced with chlorine groups such that the digestive track transfers Splenda to the large intestine instead of to the blood, one should get no glucose spikes after consumption. But my experience seems to belie that. Any one else noticed glucose spikes after consuming any Splenda sweetened product? Or is my system weird.
lose my email address, moron…
