Stomach and throat anyone?

I wanted to find out if anyone else has lumps in their stomach??

I have felt what I thought are lumps and I have a large definite one in mid section near where my gall bladder came out(surgically) and I have gotten some little painful ones along the two c section scars and I even have several small ones in my throat area…I have trouble swallowing at times…(Worried myself one day that I would be found like the rumor of Mama Cass death- died from a ham sandwich.)

Of course I know she had a heart attack but I can just see my self choking…anyhow, I had to start back on the doxycycline …severe pain with out it…If you all aren’t on it as Dr Herbst recommends I strongly urge you to get on it…

Thats the reason I am feeling better…That and my feet are not swelled up at this time…I am trying to stay active…sorry I got off track (happens ALOT) I was wondering if I am actually feeling diffuse lumps or is it intestines???

If you all can help me out with an answer I wont worry so much…I will ask the Dr when I go again next month to be sure too…

Oops I forgot to add…
Sylvia, I have a several aliens in my chest area and boobs, I had them checked out, they did the dreaded mammagram and then did ultra sound on them they were fine, while he did those he also ultrasounded several on my arm to show me they all had the same consistancy. Whatever that meant but at least they weren’t considered malignant.

Elaine…I have lots of lumps in my abdomen. You can feel them distinctly when they get big enough. The ones in my neck and jaw and throat worry me. I don’t think they could take them all out. I have a really big one deep in my neck that hurts when I eat and I don’t see how they could get to that one. The ones in my jaw give me a headache. It hurts to chew now. Dr. H said she has not heard of anyone dying from DD lumps so I am trusting in her. Take care sweetie…Hugs, Grandma Sylvia

Elaine,
Look at my pictures it shows lots of lumps on my stomach. I think that is a tell tale sign of dd. I don’t have them on my throat but I have one large one over my sternum that comes up to where the throat meets the chest. I hope you feel better and have a great day!

Christine…did you get the ones in your chest looked at by the doctor yet? I know you were concerned. My boobs are FULL of painful lumps and I have them on my collar bone marching over to my shoulders. Take Care! Have fun with the boys this week! Don’t shop on black Friday just roll over in bed and go back to sleep and you will save a lot of money! My problem is that I shop on-line! Hugs, Sylvia

Elaine,
I have quite a few in my abdomen area, small ones which on me hurt much more than any large ones. I am curious about internal ones but I had a cat scan about a year ago and of course nothing showed up because they don’t show up on that kind of test. I just had an mri on my neck area they didn’t mention anything. But the technition wasn’t looking for anything except defects in my spinal cord.
I will be seeing a pain management doc on Dec 1 and I am taking all my films from this mri and all my older ones. Maybe if I ask him he will be ablet to look them over and see if he can identify anything. I figure it can’t hurt anything.

I do occasionally have lumps come up in my throat but it has always been lymph glands indicating some type of infection. I have had them all my life, they come and go, but they do make it tough to swallow.

I am allergic to anti biotics so infections can be tough for me, I take a lot of nutritional alternatives. I have tried the antibiotic that Dr. H recommends, again allergic reaction. Frustrating to say the least.

Hugs,
Brennie

I did go for my mammogram. They also did an ultrasound, grandma sylvia. Everything is fine. I went to see the doc today. He has me on a good mix and I am feeling decent. I am now on 250mgs of mexitil, klonopin, lortab 7.5, 2400mgs of neurontin, and trazedone at night…Walking zombie. lol. Actually, it isn’t as bad as I thought. My body has been through it. Doc isn’t concerned with any of the breast lumps, he is concerned and is monitoring the one that is creeping up from my sternum to my throat. He checked them out today. He is so awesome.

Elaine, I have hundreds of lumps all over my belly and abdomen. They are so close together it feels like a huge sack of pinto beans with a few eggs thrown in for good measure. I do know of one woman who actually has a good sized one in her stomach, but it isn’t causing any major problems so far. You may also have a hiatal hernia and should check to be sure that isn’t why you have trouble swallowing. Could be the lumps too, but maybe not. Best not to assume everything is the DD.

Hugs and spoons,

Pamela

Elaine I had an endoscopy done a few years back and they found nodules in my esophagus and I have some in my stomach and outside of my stomach per a surgery to remove scar tissue and lipomas and I have developed a basketball under my rib cage down past my belly button. I remember there were 10 days through that ordeal that I couldn’t eat anything. Heck of a diet. I also have had lipomas behind my thyroid gland and that to me is so much worse than having strep throat! The only good thing about Dercums is eventually the spot that is bothering you now will eventually go away and something else will pop up. Just hope its in a tolerable area. This disease changes daily and that is what makes us sound so crazy to most doctors. I thank god everyday for my internist. I love him to death and he is my superhero! take care honey and call me if you need to talk! love ya, linda

It is so good to have you posting again Linda. We need your input and experience with DD. So you also have them by your thyroid. They said I had more around my thyroid than the last time they did a ultrasound…six months ago…so something must show up I guess? They said they would not remove it at this time. The ones in my cheeks and neck and jaw really bother me. Some hurt when I chew. It does seem like some get smaller and some get bigger…but mine never go away. That big one you have must be terrible. I am so sorry that you have it. It seems when we get surgery the lipomas get worse. I hope you get some relief soon. My heart goes out to you. Hugs, Grandma Sylvia

I have a baseball sized one under my rib cage in mid abdomen…I just had the one there but now it feels like it has a LOT of buddies…I am going to Dr tomorrow so we can talk about the ones I have to have removed…I sit with a pillow under me but sometimes the pilow flattens out and its like I dont hae anything at all under my butt…I now sit on the edge of the chair…I woke with extreme pain this morning in lumps that I have had a long time…I also am researching the weird nail I now have…I developed a splinter hemmorhage under my thumb nail…I read it is caused by several things and one is trauma…

Well I have not had any trauma to the thumb and I have had this for at least two months …Dr treated it as an infection but it isnt…Wikipedia and EMedicine says its from either trauma to the nail or endocarditis(guess thats how its spelled) which is a bacterial infection of the heart valves…I wrote Dr Herbst and she said it could possibly be from the Doxycycline. (she sent me an article on Doxy and young people).

But ,when I touch the area it hurts so…If it isnt one thing its another and unfortunately my family has a history of heart disease…

I had a echo cardiagram a while ago by an attorney when they were getting people that used phen fen and
had heart damage but the attorney said mine wasnt enough to warrant a claim…I didnt care I just wanted to know if there was anything(cardiogram was free)…

I realize now one of my first ones was midline abdominal. I have several in my abdomen now. I had a CT and MRI but the radiologist didn’t spot anything but they are easy to feel. I now have groin pain on the left, have had it on the right for some time but not as bad. When the left hits, it feels like my leg is giving out when I walk but I really think it is just pain. Dr. thinks it might be they are growing around the nerve/vascular/lymph bundle in that area as my lower leg was noticable swollen.
