I didnt know how to post. I thought that went to the administrator because I had a pink bar that said I had to ask to join and I was just wondering why the stipulation. But I’m not sure why I had it because now I dont. Strange…
Anyhow thought I would join this group. I’ve been a member for a while but never really posted too much. I’ve been living with chronic pain for the past 2 1/2 years. I’ve been apart of The IC group since I joined but the condition I have is a strange one. Some people are in terrible pain despite all efforts and others are not or are able to find ways to make it better. I havent been able to find a way to lessen the pain no matter what I’ve done. So I guess I just thought it would be good to join a group for actual pain and not just the condition I have so maybe I dont feel so unbearably alone.
Hi Avalon,
I’m sorry you got confused. What kind of Chronic pain do you have?
There is a different group for the Chronic pain people. This is the
Pancreatitis group, but lot of us are also members of Chronic pain.
In the Pancreatitis group people suffering mainly with "Pancreatitis"
join. It can be Idiopathic Chronic Pancreatitis, Hereditary chronic
Pancreatitis, Acute Pancreatitis and some times Pancreatic Cancer
patients too. What kind of Chronic pain do you have? If you are
looking especially for the particular group of Chronic Pain you should
get in touch with the ‘Chronic Pain’ group where people have different
kinds of Chronic pain like Migraines, Chronic back aches and lot of
other conditions. So, maybe you should try to get in touch with the
people who are going through what you are going through who can
understand much better.
You are welcome here too. If you want to share your problem and want
support you came to the right group. This is one of the best groups who
support each other so well.
Hope you’ll able to find out about Chronic Pain group where maybe you
can find people who have the same kind of problem like you. At the same
time you can continue and make friends in this group too. I have friends
from different groups a lot, like Depression, I had a friend in rare
kind of cancer etc.
Hope you feel better and have more and more pain free days to enjoy the
beautiful weather we are having.
Lots of love and hugs,
Durga.

Subject: [chronicpain] This is confusing…
Thank you all for your replies. I had no idea this was mostly for pancreatic pain. I didnt se many other chronic pain groups when I went through the 97other goups(had no idea there was so many!!) But thank you for the welcome anyway!
I would love to have a pain group for my condition called Intertotoal Cystitis but theres only groups on IC not for the pain itself. IC is a bladder condition in which the inner layer of your bladder gets rips and tears so the acidic urine can burn awfully. Some people with IC dont have much pain and some do. They dont know much about it like how you get it or how to cure it. Most people have never even heard about it, before I got diagnosis I never had!
Anyhow, mine is pretty bad especially because I have endometriosis and IBS and they make the pain that much worse. Many people cant understand the pain which makes it difficult in life and on someof these forums.
Ive been on Oxycontin for 2 years now and its just getting harder and not working as well anymore.
So thats what its from.
There are many components to IC, but mainly mine is the pain and how my husband has to deal with it. I feel so horrible about that and half expect him to walk in the door with divorce papers everyday. Usually its the men that need taking care of, lol!!
So thats what it is for me right now. Maybe I’ll stay here anyhow as I’m sure no matter where and what the pain is its all the same when it comes to devestating a life. And for now thats understanding enough for me!!!
TYPO: Its Interstitial Cystitis
I’m terrible at typing
I work with a girl that has IC. You are only the
second person I have heard that has this but sometimes
its good talking to other people that share in what
you go through. Pain stinks thats for sure.

Thank you Mrs.Barb that is very sweet of you. I’m sure there is alot I can learn from everybody here, and maybe visa versa. I’m so glad I could make you laugh through your pain for a moment. I know how hard it can be to have anything break through it at all sometimes. Hopefully we can share many laughs while I’m here. I’ll look out for any fellow IC pain sufferes…your right, You never know!
Hope your having aa restful a night as possible!
Many Hugs and thoughts
