Toilet training

My daughter, who underwent pull-through surgery at 6 months to treat her Hirschsprung’s, turns 5 in June and has shown only slight improvement in the pooping department-- many accidents, and despite our efforts to reward her, she does not seem too motivated to make things happen on the potty–although when she does try, her efforts generally meet with great success. We are desperate for advice from anyone with helpful experience, as kintergarten is right around the corner.
