Total Pancreatectomy with islet cells

dear friends,

I am down to having ercp’s to open a sticture in the head of my pancreas every 6-8 weeks…I can’t stand the pain and fatigue any more. I am petrified of a whipple and am considering flying to see Dr Sutherland in Minn. I also have a meeting next wednesday with 2 of his proteges at UCSF in SF but I’m afraid they may not have enough experience. The question is, tho, what happens after the surgery? If you go home and don’t live near Minnesota who takes care of you and will they want to bother…

My whole story is on Careplace at .
I would be happy to talk to any of you who are going through this or have gone through this…my cell phone is . If it’s a financail burden, leave me your number and I will call you back.

I’m in a desparate state and can’t stop crying or get out of bed…I guess I’m depressed…who would blame me

Hope to hear from you

Carolyn,

I was so sad to hear of your plight right now. I hope you do get to see the doctor you want to in Mn. I just got through going through ERCP’s and stents every 6-8 weeks. They have stopped now to give my pancreas and me a rest. We are waiting to see what happens.

I will be praying for wisdom for your doctors and for you to know the right thing to do and that the docs will be Divinely led in your treatment.

God Bless you dear one. Know that I am in prayer for you.
