My wife was diagnosed with HD over 35years ago despite experiencing stomach problems as a child. My wife has had nearly all of her bowel removed having suffered from blocked intestine, twisted intestine and gangrene of the intestine. She is on Fentanyl patches 37mg, methadone, morphine and a number of other drugs to try and help with the pain but I still watch her suffer ever day of the year. She has had approximately 15 operations since she was in her 30s she is now 62 but still suffering. I know it’s hard for her, she is a brilliant wife, mother and grandmother, I just which there was someone else in the same position who she could talk to other than the doctors, pain clinics and myself.
