I live in an area where I don’t or haven’t met other people that have kids with or know about fragile x. I would like to be able to talk to someone who understands what I face on a daily basis.
My husband is disabled and so I have that to deal with also. He helps when he can but there are some days that aren’t good. I’m really not complaining just stating facts.
My stepsister tries but doesn’t really understand. I have loaned her the book “CHILDREN WITH FRAGILE X SYNDROME, A FAMILY GUIDE” but I don’t think it helped much. She never married or had kids of her own.
I guess I should mention that Guiles is our youngest grandson whom we adopted and are raising. We couldn’t love him more than if he were our natural son.

Where do you live? I’m in South Florida, and haven’t met anyone else either. I know there’s other people suffering w/ the condition… thru this webpage… but other than that, I don’t know or ever seen someone else other than my son. He’s 3
