An Oprah writer wants your N stories!

thats an incomplete view of what projection is Sam

Blame it on the authors of the textbooks I have at home.

And why not refrain from your typical cryptic, oracular announcements and
enlighten us, ignoramuses, in which sense is it incomplete and what you base
your assertion on?

In the 12-step process, we often use the term 'Denial' rather loosely. We might also err in the usage of the term 'Projection'. For those who might be interested in studying ego defenses (both normal and pathological), I can recommend a great book by George Vaillant titled "The Wisdom of the Ego."

Here's a quick link to Harvard University Press reviewing Vaillant's book:  http://www.hup.harvard.edu/catalog/VAIWIS.html?show=reviews

The projection thing was just a shot at blitzen, not meant to

be taken serious. I should have added your link,

that would have added a little more fun for Blitzen.

She loves hearing your name for some odd reason.

(big smiles)

who’d have thought, on such a dismal day, Sam Vaknin and his biting posts would be what brings laughter to my silence!!!

(still chuckling)

My point is merely that projection is not only a negative contact boundary disturbance, it can also be a constructive, productive life-enhancing mechanism of the mind.

Without projection there can be no empathy for instance.

Riddle me this Batman, who is your hero these days and what aspect of them do you admire?

Holy Link CIty Batman!

It a virus!!! Look what youve started Sam!

now everybody’s doing it!

Wikipedia includes some very good articles.

Wikipedia is an excellent starting-point for a general investigation into a topic.

Wikipedia is not a reliable source. It contains an inordinate amount of
nonsense contributed by people who know nothing about the topics that they
write about or edit:

…but you did your best to reduce that by getting yourself banned for sockpuppeting, didn’t you pet?

Though there are the usual online control games and politics, personally I think Wikipedia is remarkably accurate…for one thing, unqualified, self appointed experts (like, for example, you, Sam) never seem to get a foothold no matter how hard they scheme, schmooze and politic…

Hey…THAT wouldn’t be your REAL problem with Wikipedia would it? :o)

My VERY favorite Samvak quote “And, btw, I am a woman, too”, can be found here:

As for “The Abuser in Denial” do you mean that when you say:

I warned you that Blitzen is completely insane. She has been stalking me and
other moderators, owners, and members of support forums for 9 years now.
BEWARE of her. She is a dangerous psychopath.
You don’t have to take my word for it: just observe her obsession with me
which borders on lunacy.
Multiple times, she wrote to me to offer a 'shared life" (shudders). Each
time I spurn her offer, she goes on a rampage.
She is sick, lonely, and pathetic - but that does not make her less of a
threat.

You really mean:

Cos if you DO that would definately resonate with me, not to mention “jive closer to the facts”…

BUT…of course, your answer would usually be to try and find some way of implying that I am projecting by claiming you are projecting…

Then I would, perforce, have to answer that you are projecting by claiming that I am projecting by claiming that you are projecting…

…and then, I guess we would have ourselves some kind of a rally till one of us lost track of the “projection count” and the other one caught them out at it…

…and at no point would any of it have anything much to do with reality or the facts…except in the sense of distracting from them.

Wikipedia does not claim to be a “good starting point”. It claims to be an
encyclopedia. That’s why it’s a scam: claiming to be what it most definitely
is not:

Links are a nice touch to add to a message just in case someone wants to dig a little deeper than a quick reply. But a whole pile of links will never make up for ONE empathic connection to another human being.

When we need someone to hear us.

AND, I do find it disturbing to a message board if a 'kind' reply is scrutinzed as if it were a dissertation.

I like Wikipedia and use it all the time as a primary resource. If we want to learn more about a particular subject, credible publications and links are added to the bottom of the page.

Oh, I understand. I agree. Projection is a DEFENSE MECHANISM and, as such,
of course is starts off as being ADAPTIVE. No argument there.

My hero? Me, of course (laughing).

I am fascinated by Adolf Hitler. Always have been. He is not my "hero"
because he was not exactly a brilliant intellectual. But he is what I like
to be when I grow up: omnipotent, feared, ruthless, adored, creative, an
intuitive genius.

Read the first 200 pages of a thriller I am writing, titled “The Hitler
File”:

Description :

What was in Hitler’s personal file kept by the Nazi Party’s own intelligence
agency, the SD? Israel Sarid Roth, only son of two survivors of the
Holocaust is about to find out, as a routine assignment in Jerusalem plunges
him into the center of a deadly nightmare.

What is “sockpuppeting”?

VERY well described here:

The short version is; creating an host of fictional characters to simulate “peer pressure” and or mobbing in support of your own agenda.

GD

It’s a good starting point.

For example, its article on Scholasticism gives a reasonably good overview of the period and its major figures, plus a ton of useful links.

Same with the various articles on begonias.

samvaknin npd-cpt6626@lists.careplace.com wrote:

How do you know that they are “credible links and publications”?

The same “writers” and “editors” who author nonsensical articles also choose
the links and publications at the bottom of their “masterpieces”. If they
are not knowledgeable to start with, they choose random or non-qualitative
resources (as they often do, by the way).
