I live in the northeast and suffer from seasonal depression. I basically hibernate from november until april. Besides moving, I’d really like to talk to people about how they’ve conquered their depression. I’m a really cynical person and depression has got me beat 
I have had burning mouth for almost 8 years, it is now part of who I am, I still wish for a cure.
I’m interested in this condition because I’ve had it on and off for about 6 years now. Every time I have dental work it semms to act up. Interested in hearing about new treatments or anything that someone else has found successful in stopping the pain.

Hi all.I have been suffering from BMS since 4 years now.Have already visited many doctors and tried tiferent kinds of medicines.No luck so far.I would be glad to share the problem with outher sufferers from BMS
I have had BMS for 3 yrs and it is an awful condition. I went to Dr. Henkin in Washington, DC for treatment and he is a quack! Wasted $5000…am interested in learning what other folks are taking, (med wise) for relief. My neurologist gives me Elavil and colonzapam which seems to help but not “go away”. I have taken as many as 12 gabba in one day to relieve the pain. Mine resulted from a tooth extraction and has effected the 5th crainial nerve so it is all neuropathic pain. I am in hopes that it will burn out in 4-5 years but I know of others who have had it 11 yrs. Not very encouraging. I will go to any level of expense to be rid of this debilitating condition. I was without meds for 3 days on vacation in Mexico and thought I was going to die. So much pain that I was nauseated the whole time, could not eat and lost 8 lbs. My stupid mistake! Would love to hear from anyone. lw
I am Marilyn, the founder member of the group of bms sufferers who joined forces on Smartgroups, which then stopped working. Janet introduced me to you site and I’d be very happy to be a member to keep in touch with any developments. I’ve been a sufferer for 7 years now and the only positive of this is the fact that I’ve gained several very positive and committed friends, mainly in the USA. We have become a small but supportive community to each other and I don’t know what I’d have done if I hadn’t realised I wasn’t the only one with this dreadful affliction.
I’m going on holiday for a fortnight from tomorrow, but will take a closer look at your website and hopefully make some contributions if I can.

Anyone know if low B12 can cause a buring tongue?
I am in my 6th year of experiencing Saliva that is like Glue. I was diagnosed as having excessive proteins in my saliva. I sleep with a spit cup at bedside…sometimes every half hour I will wake to try a get this out of my mouth and throat. I am not annoyed, I am miserable. In the morning I wash out my mouth with Dial Soap followed by twice brushing. This does not remove all the residue in my mouth but it is the best it will be for a hour or two. This does help my burning mouth somewhat as it seems yesterdays glue burns more than todays…if this makes sense.

I have had BMS for 4 1/2 years. I’ve done lot’s of internet research, but there are lots of opionions and very few actual solutions. I live on pain killers and still read all that I can about the condition, but mostly from other people who have it. At this point, I just try to keep it at bay and hope that someday it will go away.
Burning Tongue and how to make it go away
I would like to know if there is anything that helps burning mouth, my Doctor told me there was nothing he could do for me.

Have had BMS for 6 years, lost my teeth to gum disease.cataracts and fibrosis in eyes, occasionally feel OK but then something else happens, like a bad fall,more ulcers in nose etc, diagnosed with Sjogrens syndrome, Specialis still suspects something else.
