I DONT HAVE NO ONE TO TALK TO ABOUT THIS AND I FEEL LIKE I AM NOT A WHOLE WOMAN NO MORE. I WAS GOING TO GET MARREID THIS SPRING AND SINCE I HAD THE OSTOMY SURGERY IN MAY AND HAVE TO LIVE WITH THISBAD NOW HE LEFT US THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING. WHAT A THANKS!
I am 55y old woman, divorced 10 years in a new city at a new job (1 month), and yesterday I was told I had Pancreatitis, I am seeing my Doctor in the morning. He told me to eat bland liquid food for now, so I am. I am afraid of getting sick and losing my new job, I don’t know anyone in Seattle where i just move
I have pancreatitis and would like to know what foods to avoid and to talk to others about diet and nutrition.
I’m 28 going on 29. I am happy with my fiance and his kids. We plan on getting married next Feb21. Here is the situation:
I’ve been diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis. I’ve been living with this for at least 2 going on 3 yrs. I’m in terrible pain all of the time. I also have some spinal problems up in the neck area. I finally received disability in 06. I don’t know what to do as of now.
I take dilauded 5ml every 2 hrs and phenergran and loratab 10 evey 4 hrs. This just isn’t cutting it.
I make several trips to the er because the pain gets too much to handle. I have a feeding tube and I’ve had it for 2 yrs. I hold down food better than I use to but I still use the tube often. I crave sweets. I’ve become set back from things that I use to do before I got sick. I’ve had several surgeries in the past 2 yrs. Some before that. All together I’ve been put out 20 times. I’ve had stents and that’s about it.
Gallbladder out my bile duct cut on and stent placement also. I need some good information.
I need pain management but I ran across this website that seemed pretty neat. It’s a hospital in southern California. I’m in KY. It’s strictly for people who have pancreatitis. I’m not for sure myself if I do have this but it’s what I’ve been told. I’ve seen many doctors. I’m sure that I’m not the only one but in the past a lot of doctors claim that it was in my head. Well it’s not.
I hope that I can get some advice or anything at this point to help me. I am looking for answers and I need them. This pain is driving me crazy. It’s too much to handle.
Please help!!!

My daughter suffered an attack of acute pancreatitis in Oct., and it seems that the condition is becoming chronic, with bouts every 1-2 weeks. She has just taken a new job, and has already had to miss two days–and now, on a Sunday, is having another attack. Abdominal pain, back pain, vomitting. She is on enzymes, watches her diet, drinks liquids, (no alcohol), HELP!
Need suggestions for relief.

My 32 year old son has been in a coma (2002) with pancreatitus and has been told that he has chronic pancreatitus. He has lost over 50 pounds (he was already small), developed insulin dependent diabetes, and has been told he is just after the drugs by more than one doctor. He cannot get anyone to manage his pain for him. We have taken him everywhere locally with no luck. He cannot sleep and begs us to help him. He is not a baby. I have seen him deal with a foot that was nearly ripped off and not cry, but with this pain he cannot cope. Can someone offer us some ideas about what to do? He has no insurance either.
Hi, I would like to learn more about this condition, how to live, ie any pit falls, and anybody else who suffers, and how they cope
I want to learn everything about this condition and compare symptoms with anyone else who has this condition.
